When Covid hit Phnom Penh, my friend Hao created a community initiative called Local4Local. The idea was to support street vendors by raising money for food, which would then be transported to various locations to distribute it for free to the people who needed it. I had the beautiful opportunity to paint a community food pantry!

I wanted it to be super fun and approachable so I painted a cast of fun characters and local vegetables alongside Khmer staples; a bowl of rice and fried eggs. I like to think they are all hanging out together this big food party.
